A Day at Hornby Day Nursery
Every day should provide the right mix of fun, quiet time and learning. Children can respond well to routine
so we make sure certain activities like lunchtime stick!
Providing a stimulating environment is important so children
can go home having had a great day, we hope this will give you
an idea of the many things that can happen during a typical day:
 |
Outdoor games and activities |
 |
Indoor play with jigsaws, wooden toys and action
toys |
 |
Creative play with puppets, painting, music
and modelling |
 |
Quiet time for stories, resting and homework |
 |
Resting time upstairs in the babies area |
 |
Lunchtime with favourites such as homemade chicken
casserole with sponge and custard |
 |
Socialising time for kids to play and talk together |
 |
Playtime and talk time between staff and children |
 |
Trip time such as visits to the park and woodlands |
 |
IT time with interactive learning programmes |
We regularly arrange for outside visitors to come into nursery.
This provides the children with a range of new experiences and the
opportunity to participate in special activities. Recent visits have
involved Ludus Dance; The H2O Interactive Water Programme and Wythenshaw
Hedgehog Rescue.
As you can see everyday is a little different, lets face it if
it is winter we could be building snowmen, if it is summer we
could be making sandcastles!
